A vehicles headlamps and tail lights are its only visual marker to signal others drivers. They also provide lighting for low or no ambient light during the evening, rain storms, snow storms, and night time driving. If a head or tail light bulb burns out during any of those conditions it creates a visual burden for the driver, other cars on the road, and pedestrians. In most vehicles installation of the bulbs may be easy. Begin by unplugging the electrical connector from the back of the head or tail lamp. This is usually done by unscrewing or twisting the connector off. Remove the old bulb and install the new bulb. Put everything back together in reverse order.  Note: Do not touch the new bulb glass housing with bare fingers or hands. Oils on these body parts will burn out the bulbs. This can occur even if you wash your hands, so be sure to wear latex or plastic gloves when handling the new bulb. This week’s tip for the summer driving season from the Team at DitY Auto Repair have a safe and fun summer.
